Garden room at a villa
Thermal-break frames and solar-control glass
A German systems house from Bielefeld, founded in 1951, with aluminium ranges for windows, doors, sliding systems and facades, and its own Middle East company in Dubai. In the UAE it is often the system a consultant or developer names in the specification, and the range is wide enough to carry one sightline and finish from the bedroom window to the curtain wall. We fabricate Schüco profiles to the manufacturer's specification in our Dubai factory and install them ourselves.
Three contours of EPDM seals keep the glass off the aluminium and close the gap between sash and frame, so dust, humid salt air and wind-driven rain stay outside.

Foamed inserts fill the profile chambers and stop air circulating inside them, so less outside heat and street noise passes through the frame into the cooled room.

Glass-filled polyamide thermal breaks up to 40 mm wide keep the outer and inner shells apart, so the frame holds its shape and its insulation through a UAE summer.

Double glazing up to 60 mm thick puts a sealed gap of still air or gas between the hot street and the cooled room, so less heat crosses the glass into the room.

The Schüco range, grouped by what each series is for. Figures are the manufacturer's published data, and each card links to its source. Which series fits your opening is settled at the free survey.
Casement, tilt-and-turn and fixed windows. The series differ in profile depth, the thickest glass they take and how much heat the frame lets through.
All window typesWindow · turn/tilt (inward) · side-hung
Thermally insulated aluminium window system with a 65 mm basic depth for inward- and outward-opening windows, used as punched openings, ribbon windows or façade insert units.
Window · turn/tilt (inward) · side-hung
Highly thermally insulated aluminium window system with a 70 mm basic depth for inward- and outward-opening windows, including turn/tilt vents, bottom-hung toplights and barrier-free window doors.
Window · turn/tilt (inward) · side-hung
Aluminium window system with a 75 mm basic depth and a higher insulation level, used for punched openings, ribbon windows and façade insert units.
Entrance, terrace and balcony doors. What sets the series apart is how heavy a leaf they carry, the threshold and the locking options.
All door typesDoor · side-hung inward · side-hung outward
Thermally insulated aluminium door system for single- and double-leaf entrance doors, inward or outward opening, in residential and commercial buildings.
Door · side-hung inward · side-hung outward
Aluminium door system with a 75 mm basic depth for heavily used commercial doors and entrance doors, with a barrier-free zero-level threshold option.
Sliding and lift-and-slide doors for wide openings onto a terrace or pool. The series differ in panel weight, the width of the meeting stile and the threshold height.
Sliding doorsSliding · lift-and-slide
Thermally insulated aluminium sliding and lift-and-slide system with manual operation and vents up to 3 m wide and 3 m high.
Sliding · lift-and-slide
Thermally insulated aluminium sliding and lift-and-slide system with manual operation, vents up to 3.5 m wide and high, and a 40 mm interlock.
Sliding
Highly thermally insulated Panorama Design sliding system with a 37 mm interlock and TipTronic electric drive, for large glass walls.
Bi-fold doors that stack the panels to one side and open the whole wall.
Bi-fold doorsFolding · integrated side-hung door (option)
Non-insulated aluminium folding sliding system with a 75 mm basic depth; the leaves slide to one side and fold into flat, narrow stacks to open a wide aperture.
Curtain walling and structural glazing for villas, offices and retail. On a facade the series is chosen by span, wind load and how the glass is held.
Curtain wall glazingFacade
Mullion/transom façade system with a 50 mm face width for curtain walls and skylights, with an option for integrated spandrel safety barriers.
Values are the manufacturer's published figures for the series; the actual value depends on the configuration — glass, size and hardware.

Powder coating in any shade of the RAL palette; the colour is confirmed against a physical sample at the survey.
Anodising builds an oxide layer on the profile itself, so the colour belongs to the metal rather than to a film on top of it and cannot peel.
Wood-grain and stone-effect finishes are transferred onto the powder coating. The profile keeps the strength of aluminium and never needs repainting.
