Glass for a door in the sun
A sealed double unit from our factory with a solar coating, densest on west and south walls; safety glass in every door leaf by the Dubai code.
How it is built
Two panes of glass sealed around a spacer frame; the cavity between them is filled with dry air or argon. The spacer holds a desiccant that keeps the cavity dry.

Most windows and doors in villas and apartments, and any opening where the space behind it is air-conditioned.

Questions about uPVC doors
Do uPVC doors keep out sand and driving rain?
Lift-and-slide doors seal best: REHAU SYNEGO and Deceuninck HS76 reach 9A watertightness. A plain slider closes on brushes and its track needs clearing after a shamal.
Are uPVC entrance doors secure?
REHAU SYNEGO and VEKA SOFTLINE 82 entrance doors are rated up to RC 2; laminated glass in the leaf holds together when struck.
Can a uPVC door be grey or wood-look?
On REHAU, with laminated finishes. Our Deceuninck sliders are white only, and a dark frame in full sun expands more.
What keeps a uPVC frame rigid?
Reinforcement inside the chambers: steel in most systems, glass fibre in some.
Will the quietest acoustic unit fit a uPVC slider?
No. The 43 dB unit is about 42 mm thick and our Deceuninck sliders take up to 30 mm; for a noisy side choose a lift-and-slide door or aluminium.
