How a uPVC window opens
Tips in at the top for night air, swings fully for cleaning.

Glass for a uPVC frame
A double unit with a solar coating from our own line. Sliding Deceuninck sashes stop at 30 mm, so the thickest acoustic glass goes into a hinged or tilting frame.
How it is built
Two panes of glass sealed around a spacer frame; the cavity between them is filled with dry air or argon. The spacer holds a desiccant that keeps the cavity dry.

Most windows and doors in villas and apartments, and any opening where the space behind it is air-conditioned.

Limits of uPVC
ShadeDeceuninck windows we fit come in white; for a dark tone take a REHAU foil finish or aluminium.
Noisy sideThe 30 mm limit of sliding uPVC is too thin for the thickest noise-control glass.

Does uPVC cope with Dubai heat?
A white frame bounces sunlight back and keeps the room as cool as thermally broken aluminium; a dark frame on a west wall heats up and moves more.
How many chambers does the profile have?
Deceuninck Legend has six with three gaskets, Zendow five with two, the centre seal optional.
Which system is warmest?
Among ours, Deceuninck Legend: Uf 0.92, and Uw 0.78 for a window with triple glazing.
Where is the Deceuninck profile made?
Legend and Zendow come from Egepen Deceuninck in Turkey; the Legend triple-glazed figure of Uw 0.78 is an IFT Rosenheim calculation.
Which one is quietest and most secure?
REHAU SYNEGO: Rw up to 47 dB and burglar resistance up to RC 3 on an 80 mm, seven-chamber frame.
Can it take an insect screen?
Yes: an aluminium frame with fibreglass or metal mesh, chosen to suit the sash; on a sliding window the screen runs on its own outer track.
