Schüco is a German systems house from Bielefeld with its own Middle East company in Dubai, and AWS 65 is the compact, versatile member of its window range. We fabricate Schüco profiles to the manufacturer's specification at our Dubai factory and install them ourselves.
Where AWS 65 fits
Villas and low-rise buildings with many windows of different kinds: bedrooms that tilt for air, a stair window that pivots, a bottom-hung bathroom window, a ribbon of glazing along an office floor. Having all of these in one 65 mm system keeps sightlines and finish consistent across the building. Ground-floor openings benefit from burglar resistance available up to RC3 — useful for a villa that stands empty for part of the summer.
What its figures mean in the heat
Uf from 1.9 W/(m²·K) is the frame value, and it is the honest weak point of a compact section: more heat crosses a 65 mm frame than a deeper, better-insulated one. On a north or shaded elevation that hardly matters; on a large west-facing window it does, and there the glass — up to 55 mm, enough for a solar-control insulated unit with a laminated pane — has to do more of the work.
Vents up to 250 kg allow tall sashes with heavy acoustic or security glass without splitting the opening. Against salt air on the coast and dust inland, the finish and the gasket lines matter more than the depth, and we choose both for the site.
AWS 65 or AWS 75.SI+
AWS 75.SI+ is the deeper sibling: a 75 mm basic depth, Uf from 0.9 W/(m²·K), glazing up to 61 mm, the same vent weight of up to 250 kg and sound reduction up to 48 dB. It holds back much more heat at the frame, which pays off on large sun-facing windows. AWS 65 is the choice where budget, a slimmer section and burglar resistance up to RC3 count for more than frame insulation.
AWS 65 is a versatile, compact Schüco window for villas and low-rise buildings with many opening types, as long as the big sun-facing windows get the right glass or move to AWS 75.SI+.
