In the UAE the GUTMANN range is offered by Gutmann Middle East LLC in Dubai Investment Park 2. We fabricate GWD 070i to the manufacturer's specification at our Dubai factory and fit it with our own crews.
Where a concealed sash makes sense
Bedrooms, living rooms and a majlis where the window is seen from close up every day. With the sash hidden behind the frame, a row of opening and fixed windows looks the same from the street, and the face width starts from 71 mm for tilt-and-turn windows. Tilt gives a little air without opening the room to dust; turn lets you clean the outer pane from inside, which matters on upper floors.
Standard or premium version
The series comes in two thermal levels. The standard window gives Uf 2.1 W/m²K with glass-fibre reinforced PA 6.6 insulators. The premium version reaches Uf 1.7 W/m²K with a coextruded central gasket, insulation inserts in the glass rebate and a thicker outer glazing gasket. On a west elevation with long afternoon sun the premium frame and a solar-control unit up to 46 mm work together and cut the load on the air conditioning.
Sashes run up to 300 kg on surface-mounted fittings or up to 180 kg on concealed ones. Burglar resistance is published as RC 1N, RC 2 and RC 3 under DIN EN 1627, and the Euro groove leaves a free choice of handles and hardware.
GWD 070i or GWD 070SK
Both share the 70 mm depth, the 47 dB sound figure and the same RC classes. GWD 070SK is a projected top-hung window: the sash opens outward from the bottom edge and takes glass up to 44 mm, with published watertightness E1200 and wind class C5/B5. Choose GWD 070i for rooms where people open the window fully and want the slim concealed look; GWD 070SK for vents above head height and office ribbons.
GWD 070i is the GUTMANN window for living spaces that want a slim concealed sash, inward tilt-and-turn opening and a choice of two insulation levels.
