Decalu is the aluminium branch of a Belgian group better known for uPVC profiles, and Decalu88 Standard is where its window range starts. We fabricate Deceuninck profiles to the manufacturer's specification at our Dubai factory and install them ourselves.
Where the Standard series fits
Ordinary punched openings: a bedroom window over the garden, a study on the first floor, a kitchen window that has to tilt for air while the cooker runs. The two opening types cover the usual choice — a casement sash that swings clear for cleaning, or a tilt-and-turn sash that tips inward for ventilation and turns fully open when the glass needs washing. The flat outer face keeps a row of windows in one plane on a rendered villa elevation, which is why it goes on modern facades rather than decorative ones.
What its figures mean in UAE weather
The U-value Deceuninck publishes for the series — from 1.1 W/m²K with double glazing, from 0.86 with triple — is not labelled as a window or a frame value, so we read it as the manufacturer's headline figure rather than a result for your window size. Here it works the other way round from Europe: the heat is outside, and a lower value means less of it reaching an air-conditioned room through the window.
The rest is about weather that pushes. Watertightness class E1650 and wind resistance class C5 (NBN 12210) are what count when a shamal drives sand and the odd downpour against a west wall, and the acoustic value of Rw 47 (−1;−2) dB is the figure to look at for a bedroom facing a main road or a flight path.
Standard, Flush Casement or Scand
The neighbours in the Decalu line solve different problems. Decalu88 Flush Casement sets the sash flush with the frame inside and out, takes glazing units from 12 to 52 mm and sashes up to 180 kg, but it is a casement-only design. Decalu101 Scand is a 101 mm pivot window that rotates 160° so the outer pane can be cleaned from inside — a high-rise answer. If an ordinary villa window needs the choice between tilting and swinging open, Standard is the one of the three that gives it.
Decalu88 Standard is a sensible default for ordinary villa and townhouse openings where a flat exterior, tilt-and-turn ventilation and solid weather ratings matter more than an unusual shape.
