Vetromax is a London-based supplier of minimal aluminium systems, present in the UAE through a Middle East distributor, and HS 80P is its casement line. We fabricate Vetromax profiles to the manufacturer's specification at our Dubai factory and install them ourselves.
Where a hidden sash earns its place
Elevations where fixed and opening glass should look the same from outside: a villa facade with a grid of tall panes, a penthouse wall where only some panels open, a bedroom where a side-hung or tilt-and-turn sash sits beside a fixed pane. With the sash hidden behind the frame, and widths of 45 mm for the fixed frame and 60 mm for the opening sash, fixed and opening panes stay close enough in look for the grid to read as one. The same system makes doors, so a terrace door can share the lines of the windows.
What the ratings mean in UAE weather
Air permeability class 4, watertightness class E1200 and wind load class C5 are strong classes for an opening window. In the UAE they translate into seals that keep fine dust out after a shamal, a sash that stays tight when the wind rises on an upper floor, and resistance to the occasional driving rain.
The thermal break keeps the slim aluminium from carrying outside heat straight into the room; the glass, chosen for the orientation, does the rest. On a slim frame the glass is almost the whole window, so on west and south elevations the solar-control coating is decided first.
HS 80P, Vetro Slide or Vetro Pivot
Vetro Slide is Vetromax's minimal sliding system with a 22 mm visible profile, glass panels up to 3 × 6 m (width × height) and leaves up to 1500 kg — the choice for a glass wall that moves. Vetro Pivot VP 75 is the pivot door for large entrance leaves up to 2.5 × 6 m (width × height) on a floor pivot rated up to 600 kg. HS 80P sits between them: windows and hinged doors of ordinary size that should share one slim, quiet line.
Vetro Casement HS 80P is for villas where windows and hinged doors should read as slim, even lines, with weather ratings that suit an exposed elevation.
