Lift-and-slide means the handle raises the sash off its seals to move it and lowers it back to close. We fabricate AluK profiles to the manufacturer's specification in our Dubai factory and install them ourselves.
Wide openings onto terraces and pools
The system is made for the openings that shape a villa: a living room that opens onto the garden, a majlis onto a courtyard, a penthouse onto a roof terrace. Once lifted, a heavy sash moves on rollers, so a large pane can still be pushed by hand, and the concealed locks keep the frame clean when it is shut.
What the figures mean in UAE weather
Watertightness class E1500 is the figure to note for high floors and exposed coastal plots, where storm rain is driven sideways by the wind. When lowered, the sash sits on its gaskets, which is also what keeps fine dust out after a shamal. With triple glazing the published Uw is 0.9 W/m²K, and the glazing pocket of up to 50 mm also takes a double-glazed solar-control unit with laminated panes for a sun-facing elevation.
The low-threshold option removes the step between the room and the terrace. It still needs a drained channel outside, which we plan together with the terrace floor.
SC156TT, SC140TT or INFINEO S146LM
SC140TT is the broader AluK sliding system: 140 mm deep, sliding or lift-and-slide on two or three tracks, sashes up to 2500 × 2800 mm and 400 kg, glazing up to 40 mm, with a motor as an option. INFINEO S146LM hides the frame and narrows the interlock to 21 or 31 mm, with sashes up to 3000 × 3000 mm and 450 kg but glazing only up to 32 mm. SC156TT sits between them: thicker glass than either, a 50 mm interlock and a published E1500 watertightness.
SC156TT is the AluK choice for a wide, heavy glass door that has to stay tight against wind, rain and sand.
