One system covers both the sliding window in a bedroom and the heavy terrace door, so sightlines and finish stay the same across a house. We fabricate AluK profiles to the manufacturer's specification in our Dubai factory and install them ourselves.
Balconies, terraces and wide windows
On an apartment balcony SC140TT gives a door that never swings in the wind. On a villa terrace, three tracks let more of the opening slide open than two. The lift-and-slide version carries heavier sashes, and the motor option turns a sash of up to 400 kg into the push of a button, which suits large doors used every day.
What the figures mean for heat and sand
AluK publishes Uw values of 1.7 and 1.2 W/m²K for the system, depending on the build. The glazing pocket goes up to 40 mm, which fits a double-glazed unit with a solar-control coating and laminated panes on the sunny side.
In sand the track is the weak point of any slider. The sill is drained, the running gear is kept clean, and on exposed balconies we check that the outer channel can shed what the shamal blows in.
SC140TT next to SC156TT and INFINEO S146LM
SC156TT is a dedicated lift-and-slide door with a 50 mm interlock, glazing up to 50 mm, a published Uw of 0.9 W/m²K with triple glazing and watertightness E1500. INFINEO S146LM hides the frame for a minimal look. SC140TT is the broader system: windows as well as doors, two or three tracks and a motor option.
SC140TT fits projects that need one sliding system for windows and doors across the whole house.
