Where GLS 180 fits
A living room opening onto a pool, a ground-floor terrace that stays shut while the family travels, a bedroom facing a road: places where the door has to be quiet, secure and tight in a storm. With glass up to 60 mm one unit can combine solar control, a laminated security pane and acoustic layers. Locking points can be adjusted after installation, which helps a heavy door stay tight over the years.
What the figures mean in the UAE
Watertightness E1350 means the door stayed tight in the test up to 1350 Pa, the highest water value among the GUTMANN sliders offered here. Wind class C5/B5 and air permeability class C4 suit exposed terraces and keep cooled air inside. Sound insulation up to 44 dB is measured on a tested door with suitable glass, so we size the acoustic unit for it.
Burglar resistance up to RC 2 / WK 2 belongs to the complete door with matching hardware and glass. The thermal value of the finished door is confirmed by calculation before the order.
GLS 180 or GLS 125
GLS 125 publishes panel sizes up to 3000 × 3000 mm and weights up to 400 kg, with glass up to 42 mm and watertightness 1050 Pa, but no sound or burglar class. GLS 180 does not publish maximum panel sizes, so very large panels are checked with the supplier. Choose GLS 180 for acoustics, security and thick glass; GLS 125 when published panel limits come first.
