A stick curtain wall is assembled on the building from mullions, transoms and glass. We fabricate Cortizo profiles to the manufacturer's specification in our Dubai factory and install them ourselves.
Offices, schools, showrooms and villa glass walls
TP 52 is used where a wall is mostly glass: an office or showroom front, a school entrance hall, the double-height stair wall of a villa. The 52 mm visible section keeps the grid light, and vents set into it bring in air without a separate window.
What the figures mean in UAE conditions
Ucw from 0.6 W/m²K is the published value for the curtain wall as a whole. On a sun-facing façade the glass carries a large part of the heat load, and the glazing range of 4–64 mm covers everything from a thin single sheet in a spandrel to a thick laminated solar-control unit. Watertightness is classed RE1350, relevant where wind drives storm rain against a tall façade.
Fixed panels up to 750 kg allow large sheets with fewer transoms. The fixing into each slab and the wind load for the height are calculated for the building.
Vents: top-hung, parallel or tilt-and-turn
Outward top-hung and parallel projected vents open the façade a little without a sash swinging into the room; inward tilt-and-turn vents with a concealed sash can be cleaned from inside. The choice depends on the height of the building and on who uses the room.
TP 52 fits glazed façades that need a light grid, thick glass and vents built into the same system.
