Balconies, bedrooms and corner openings
On an apartment balcony 4900 Sliding HI is a door that does not swing in the wind. In a villa, the pocket version slides the sash into the wall so the opening is fully clear, and the corner version opens two walls at once without a post at the corner.
What the figures mean for heat and sand
Uw from 1.2 W/m²K is published for the whole window. The glazing range of 24–36 mm takes a double-glazed unit with a solar-control coating, which does much of the work against the sun. The handle with its integrated multipoint lock pulls the sash onto the seals at several points, and that pressure is what keeps fine sand from being blown through.
Where two sashes meet, the central junction is 35 mm wide.
4900 Sliding HI or another Cortizo slider
COR Vision narrows the junction to 20 mm and takes sashes up to 2500 × 3000 mm and 320 kg, with glazing of 26–30 mm. COR Vision Plus goes up to 4000 × 4000 mm. The lift-and-slide 4600 Plus takes sashes up to 400 kg with Uw from 0.65 W/m²K. 4900 Sliding HI covers ordinary balcony and window openings with single, double or triple tracks.
