Windows in Sharjah

Most of what we do in Sharjah is replacement. The single-glazed aluminium sashes the block was built with come out, thermally broken profiles go in, and the opening stays exactly where the builder left it. The buildings stand close together, so there is rarely room for a scaffold and almost never a place to stand a crane — the work is planned from inside and staged one room at a time. Traffic noise off the main routes is the reason most owners in Al Majaz and the older blocks call in the first place.

Why choose aluminium windows?

  • Aluminium window profile cross-section with three EPDM seal contours highlighted in red

    Durable EPDM seals

Three contours of EPDM seals keep the glass off the aluminium and close the gap between sash and frame, so dust, humid salt air and wind-driven rain stay outside.

  • Aluminium window profile cross-section with a foamed thermal insert highlighted

    Foamed thermal inserts

Foamed inserts fill the profile chambers and stop air circulating inside them, so less outside heat and street noise passes through the frame into the cooled room.

  • Aluminium window profile cross-section with polyamide thermal breaks highlighted

    Polyamide thermal breaks

Glass-filled polyamide thermal breaks up to 40 mm wide keep the outer and inner shells apart, so the frame holds its shape and its insulation through a UAE summer.

  • Aluminium window profile with an energy-efficient double glazing unit highlighted

    Energy-efficient double glazing

Double glazing up to 60 mm thick puts a sealed gap of still air or gas between the hot street and the cooled room, so less heat crosses the glass into the room.

Partitions

Office partitions made of aluminium profiles are a simple, quick, and cost-effective way to organise efficient zoning within a large space, while maintaining interior unity.

Frequently asked questions

They will, but the glass on its own is not what does it. Sound is stopped by mass and by breaking up resonance, which is why an acoustic unit uses a laminated pane and two panes of unequal thickness rather than two identical ones. Just as important is the perimeter: a continuous seal, a compressed gasket and a properly filled gap around the frame. We will not print a decibel figure, because the wall, the ceiling and the ventilation opening decide as much as the window does.

We do not do that. A sash fitted into an old frame inherits the old thermal bridge, the old seal groove and whatever corrosion is hidden behind the plaster, and the result looks new for a season. The frame comes out to the reveal, the fixing points are checked, and the new profile is set and sealed against the structure.

Hours, not days. An opening is measured, the unit is manufactured, and only then does the old window come out — the new one is set, fixed and sealed in the same visit. If something has to wait, the opening is boarded and weather-sealed rather than left, but that is the exception on a replacement job.

Yes, and in older Sharjah blocks the balcony is often the bigger part of the job — the sliding enclosure and the kitchen window usually go together. One thing to settle first: many buildings require every balcony on the elevation to keep the same external colour and division, so the outside face is agreed with the building management before the drawing is signed.
