Gutmann Middle East LLC in Dubai Investment Park 2 offers this window in the UAE. We machine and assemble it at our factory in Dubai to the manufacturer's specification and install it with our own teams.
Why a top-hung sash
A sash that pushes out at the bottom keeps the room clear: nothing swings over a desk, a bed or a kitchen counter. Open, it works like a small canopy over the gap, so a sudden rain shower or the spray from a terrace hose runs off the glass instead of into the room. That makes GWD 070SK a good fit for high-level vents, bathrooms, stairwells and the opening panes in an office ribbon.
What the published classes tell you
Watertightness E1200 means the window stayed tight in the standard test up to 1200 Pa. Wind class C5/B5 sits at the top of the wind scale, and the letter shows the deflection limit, C being stricter than B. Air permeability class 4 is the tightest class, which helps an air-conditioned room hold its cool air and keeps fine dust out.
The sashes use glass-fibre reinforced PA 6.6 insulators. Surface-mounted fittings carry up to 300 kg and concealed fittings up to 180 kg, and burglar resistance is published as RC 1N, RC 2 and RC 3 under DIN EN 1627.
GWD 070SK as part of a facade
The GUTMANN pages for the F80 CS semi-unitised and the Unitized curtain walls list GWD 70SK top-hung windows as an option. That lets the opening vents in a glazed facade come from the same family as the curtain wall. On a tower the size of each vent is set by the wind-load calculation for the elevation.
GWD 070SK is the GUTMANN choice for outward top-hung vents that should keep the room free, shed rain and still take thick acoustic glass.
